Gamepoint
Intern, UI artist
September 2018 - July 2018
During my game artist education at Mediacollege Amsterdam, I had to work as an intern for two six-month periods. I started the first internship earlier than I was supposed to and got the chance to experience three internship periods. I started at Gamepoint and stayed there for the second period.
Intern team
Period 1
In the first period, I worked in a team with two other interns: a developer, a game designer, and an artist (me). Our primary assignment was to create and develop game concepts. After pitching our ideas, we started producing them. The games were casual (multiplayer) mobile games in genres like Match 3, bubble shooter, puzzle, and gambling games.
During this period, we developed five games. I worked mainly on UI but was also responsible for UX, animation, sound effects, and general game assets like backgrounds, particles (Unity particle system), cards/boards, and some 3D models.
Casino/Platform team
Period 2
In the second period, the interns I worked with left, and I joined Gamepoint's casino/platform team. There, we worked on casino game prototypes and the release of Gamepoint Casino. My responsibilities were UI/UX, game art, graphic design, sounds, animation, research, and implementation in Unity. I worked on four prototypes, and Gamepoint Casino was released.
